Enderby Medical Centre offers a variety of clinics and services such as:

Chronic Disease Clinics – These are for patients who have a chronic disease like Diabetes, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Coronary Heart Disease.

The Nurse will discuss lifestyle, medication and other factors relating to your condition.

Blood tests – Our Healthcare Assistants carry out blood tests requested by the practice or the hospital. Please note, if the practice or hospital has not requested a blood test, we will be unable to carry them out.

Minor Surgery – Following a consultation with a clinician, patients can book appointments for joint injections, removal of cysts, skin tags, etc., through the practice’s minor surgery service.

INR Clinics – Patients on blood thinners like warfarin should book an appointment at these clinics. You will be advised accordingly.

Ante Natal Services – The Community Midwife runs this clinic on Wednesdays by appointment only. If you wish to book an appointment with the midwife for the first time, there is no appointment to see the GP. Please speak to the receptionist who will be able to advise you.

Smear Tests – A nurse carries out a smear test. It is an examination of the neck of the womb to check for any changes linked to cancer. Women between 25 and 64 should visit the surgery for this examination. The Cervical Screening Department notifies you when your smear test is due.

Contraception – The practice provides various contraceptive services, such as the pill, injections, implants, and coils. To schedule a contraception appointment, please contact our Patient Services Team. Currently on the pill? Complete the form below and submit it to us.

Counselling Service – This can be access through self-referral to the Vitaminds Service.

Non NHS Services

Patients will be charged for services not covered by the NHS e.g.

  • Private sick notes
  • Private letters
  • Insurance Reports
  • Holiday cancellation reports
  • Medical examinations
  • HGV Medicals
  • Fire Arms Certificates
  • Adoption and Fostering forms

Requests for the above may take up to 28 days, as NHS work is prioritised.

Charges are made in line with BMA recommendations and are paid for by the individual or company. Details are available at Reception.
